RN Case Manager – Openings 2

Pay Range: CASE MANAGER, RN – $46.50 to $68.68

FT 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Job Summary

The RN Case Manager is responsible for coordination of care, utilization review, acting as a resource to patient, family and nursing units; referrals to clinical social worker for psycho-social issues and complicated discharge planning issues; and overseeing coordination of post-hospital care needs; interacting with insurance companies, medical groups, and community resources to ensure timely, efficient use of all services. Applies knowledge of the expected clinical process, available resources, medical necessity criteria, regulatory requirements, and relevant standards of care in anticipating patient needs.

Licensure and Certification:

Current CA RN license
Current BLS provider card
Case Management certification preferred

Education:

Diploma, AA, BS in Nursing
MS in Nursing preferred

Experience:

Two (2) years as a Case Manager in an acute care setting or five years recent acute care nursing experience preferred.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, leadership ability, negotiation skills, and knowledge of hospital operations. General knowledge of the payer industry, resource management, reimbursement, and evidence-based clinical practice is essential.
Knowledge of InterQual and/or Milliman preferred
Maintains positive and proactive communication with patients, families, staff members, and physicians.
Fosters team-building relationships

FT 9:30 pm – 6 am

Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Laboratory Supervisor, the Clinical Lab Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, test performance test result reporting, clerical and patient care support services with a high level of accuracy, precision and timeliness while ensuring compliance with departmental and regulatory agency standards.

Licensure and Certification:

Current California CLS License

Education:

BS/BA

Experience:

1-2 years previous experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

CLS training in a USA program or if foreign trained, experience in a hospital based laboratory located in the USA.
Ability to work well within a team environment.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse is responsible for independently utilizing the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients based on Hospital’s policies, procedures and all regulatory requirements. Also responsible for triaging patients in the Emergency Department.

Licensure and Certification:

Current California RN license
Certification by appropriate governing body desirable (AACN, ANCC)
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS provider cards
Current MAB certification

Education:

Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) required
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
